Think About Size
Smaller artwork is much easier to come across, it's better to store and it's generally cheaper - so most people have a lot more small products, which works great if you have a snug bedroom, or a cramped hallway. However in an expansive room with high ceilings? Not so much.
Think of the wall around a piece of art within the art. You want to buy to be a natural extension of what's there. In case the art's too small, it will be confused by the emptiness and go away - and it will produce a timid and helpless vibe. Whether it's too big, it'll feel like a giant wearing too-small slacks - also wii look.
For large spaces, there are several solutions: the first is simply looking for much larger works of art. The second is to choose something that's not a framed image (more about that below). And the 3rd is to use several works of art in combination with each other, to make a larger piece.
With high ceilings and large walls, a small piece of artwork above the bed simply won't do.
As an example, in my own home, the bedroom (pictured above) has vaulted ceilings that reach 17 toes in height. Just a little dinky framed thing above the bed simply wasn't going to trim it. I needed something bigger.
Choose a Kind of Art That Works
Fine art isn't just a framed printing or poster. There are quite a few other decorative choices you can make. For instance, buying a wall-mounted shelf and putting figurines or vases onto it can be considered a great way to decorate a more substantial space using collectibles that you already have. Or, getting aggregate accessories to take up a more substantial space can work well, such as this Umbra Wallflower place - check out their site to get more options.
Other selections include mounting decorative plates in a row, putting up a large reflection or using decals - that happen to be surprisingly hip and often look good. Check out WallPops!, for a few ideas.
When deciding what you would like to put on a wall, it's okay to think outside the box. A large framed picture is often the least interesting (and often priciest) choice. (Though, for my bedroom example, I decided to go with three 16"x20" framed prints - pretty orthodox.)
Choose carefully what you spend your money on
Be cautious the material you will need and you will be always right
The material something is constructed of is not only a synonym of quality, but efficiency, cleanliness and sustainability. If you are heading to buy something, once again, we have to be careful and consider what are the best materials and which benefits they provides us.
One example will be the furniture manufactured from fiberboard vs the hardwood furniture. At the beginning, they may look very similar but, after a while and you use them, the fiberboard ones commenced to get bended, the coatings commence to look bad while, if you buy wood, it would be more stable and will remain in perfect conditions for years. Your home, it is designed to last for a long period, isn't it? If you too have toddlers or you understand that your home can get easily grubby, it is very important to fit the bill: materials like goblet, marble for the kitchen or floor tiles instead or parquet floor can be considered a a lot more convenient option. Last but not least, we have also to believe which materials inspire us and also, what means to get them: as I have said before, if you order a door to a carpenter, this door would be unique and, probably, the lumber employed to set-up it would come from more honorable and ecological resources than an professional one.
You can also choose lasting products as the certified woods or the recycled spectacles. This way, you aren't only contributing to make the world more lasting, but the materials you will have at home is telling a tale: before it was a tree, but in its place another tree has been planted to keep carefully the forest the same. This light fixture was before a goblet bottle that, if recycle, it was likely heading to get rid of as silicon for highway pavement. This little details will be the ones that produce your house beautification unique.
It's clear that the majority of us do not have money to lose. Likewise, I'm sure that sometime you did a compulsive acquisition only to feel different and, time later, you regretted it. It happens to all or any of us. That is why I tell you that it's much better to buy with conscience not to regret later our impulsive alternatives when you are feeling down.
The tip I could give you is the fact that, if you are heading to buy, think how much what are you heading to use this object, if it is heading to be useful in the home and, although you do not have the big bucks, not to focus on the price however in the quality of what you are buying. If it is something you truly need, it is better to buy something with quality even it means doing and investment or not buying other activities. Once more, what matters is that you will be happy. Bear in mind also that you will get what you pay for.
Moreover, remember the power of your money. When you get something, you are assisting an economical model or another. Big brands or assisting local businesses and internet marketers.
