There are several tips out there how to create gallery wall surfaces, and how to choose the right structures for your design. They are important decisions that require to be made certainly as well. But since I'm a professional photographer, not an interior designer, I want to focus on deciding on the best images (that will best compliment your work) for the spots you are filling up.

7 tips to help you choose which images to printing for your space

These are not design rules, just suggestions from a photographer's viewpoint.

  1. Develop a folder on your desktop where you save your chosen images. Be selective and only save those people you absolutely love. In this particular folder create other folders to breakdown the many types of images. i.e. macro, food, lifestyle, portraits. Because you edit your images, save your valuable favorites to these folders. This will keep them in one organized place so these are easy to find if you are ready to print. And it will save you time of time you would normally spend on combing your archives to find the right image every time you want to print.

  2. Match the colors in your images to your d?cor. This is only a suggestion that could or may not be your style. I needed the colors in my prints to go with the colors of my keyword. When you search your archives, either look for images that have certain complimentary tones in them, or you can change them in Photoshop or Lightroom to complement!

The plants in these structures were actually more of a dark green when they were photographed. I evolved the tones to be more peachy and delicate to match the lampshade these were next to. You can do this in Lightroom in the HSL and COLOR tabs by tinkering with the hue, saturation, and luminance of the various colors in your photography.

An instant way to improve colors in Photoshop is by choosing Image, Modifications, Color Balance in your menu. Then test out the color sliders for your shadows, mid tones and features. Make sure Keep Luminosity is inspected.

Other ways you can match your designs to the colors at home is to plan your next photo procedure with your screen area at heart. What is the look and feel of your home? Choose a session location and/or clothing that will enhance the design of your home or the room where the prints will be shown.

  1. Choose carefully what you may spend your cash on

  2. It's apparent that most of us do not have money to lose. Likewise, I'm sure sometime you have done a compulsive acquisition and then feel different and, a while later, you regretted it. It happens to all of us. That's why I let you know that it is much better to buy with conscience never to regret later our impulsive alternatives when you are feeling down.

The tip I could give you is the fact, when you are heading to buy, think how much what are you going to use this object, if it's heading to be functional in the home and, although there is no need tons of money, not to give attention to the price but in the grade of what you are buying. If it's something you really need, it is best to buy something with quality even it means doing and investment or not buying other activities. Once more, what matters is that you are happy. Keep in mind also that you will get what you pay for.

Moreover, remember the power of your money. When you get something, you are assisting an economic model or another. Big brands or assisting local businesses and business people.

  3. Think carefully the material you will need and you will be always right

The material a product is constructed of is not only a synonym of quality, but features, hygiene and sustainability. If you are going to buy something, once more, we have to be cautious and think about what are the optimum materials and which benefits they can provide us.

One example are the furniture manufactured from fiberboard vs the wood furniture. At the start, they may look virtually identical but, as time passes and you use them, the fiberboard ones commenced to get bended, the coatings start to look bad while, if you buy wood, it might be more stable and can stay in perfect conditions for a long time. Your home, it is designed to last for a long time, isn't it? If you also have small children or you know that your home can get easily filthy, it is very important to be practical: materials like wine glass, marble for the kitchen or floor tiles instead or parquet floor can be a a lot more convenient option. Lastly, we've also to believe which materials encourage us and also, what implies to buy them: as I have said before, if you order a door to a carpenter, this door would be unique and, probably, the lumber employed to produce it would come from more honorable and ecological resources than an professional one.

You can also choose sustainable products as the skilled woods or the recycled glasses. This way, you are not only contributing to make the world more ecological, but the materials you will have at home is revealing to a story: before it was a tree, but in its place another tree has been planted to keep carefully the forest the same. This light fixture was before a cup container that, if recycle, it was likely going to get rid of as silicon for highway pavement. This little details are the ones that make your house adornment unique.
