Now that you're a very pleased home owner, it's time to deck your surfaces with art that displays you. Your newfound soaring ceilings and open up floor plan can feel a little bare without something to brighten the wall surfaces. Setting up a cohesive feel is very important, so it could require purchasing some additional bits to complement the fine art you already own.
Here are five facts to consider whenever choosing (or repurposing) art for your brand-new large spaces, plus a handful of case-studies from my own home.

Think About Size
Smaller artwork is easier to come across, it's easier to store and it's really generally cheaper - so most people have much more small stuff, which works great if you have a snug bedroom, or a cramped hallway. But in an expansive room with high ceilings? Not so much.
Think about the wall structure around a piece of art within the art. You want to buy to be a natural expansion of what's there. In case the art's too small, it will be stressed by the emptiness and fade away - and it will give off a timid and helpless vibe. If it's too big, it'll feel like a giant wearing too-small trousers - also not a good look.
For large spots, there are several alternatives: the foremost is simply looking for bigger pieces of art. The second reason is to choose something that isn't a framed image (more about that below). And the 3rd is by using several pieces of art in combination with one another, to make a larger piece.
With high ceilings and large wall surfaces, a small little bit of artwork above the bed simply won't do.
For example, in my home, the bedroom (pictured above) has vaulted ceilings that reach 17 toes in height. A little dinky framed thing above the bed simply wasn't heading to lower it. I needed something bigger.
Choose a Type of Artwork That Works
Art work isn't only a framed printing or poster. There are very a few other decorative choices you can make. For example, buying a wall-mounted shelf and putting figurines or vases on it can be a great way to decorate a larger space using collectibles that you already have. Or, getting aggregate decor to take up a more substantial space can work well, like this Umbra Wallflower establish - check out their site for further options.
Other choices include mounting ornamental plates in a row, adding a large reflection or using decals - which are surprisingly hip and frequently look good. Check out WallPops!, for a few ideas.
When deciding what you would like to put up a wall structure, it's okay to think outside the package. A big framed picture is usually the least interesting (and often priciest) choice. (Though, for my bedroom example, I decided to go with three 16"x20" framed designs - pretty orthodox.)
Choose carefully what you spend your cash on
Be cautious the material you need and you will be always right
The material a product is made of is not only a synonym of quality, but features, hygiene and sustainability. When you are heading to buy something, once more, we must be careful and think about what are the ideal materials and which benefits they can offer us.
One example will be the furniture made of fiberboard vs the lumber furniture. At the start, they may look virtually identical but, as time passes and you use them, the fiberboard ones started to get bended, the surface finishes commence to look bad while, if you buy wood, it would be more stable and will remain in perfect conditions for a long time. Your home, it is designed to last for a long time, isn't it? If you also have small children or you understand that your home can get easily dirty, it is very important to fit the bill: materials like wine glass, marble for the kitchen or floor tiles instead or parquet floors can be a a lot more convenient option. Finally, we have also to think which materials encourage us and also, what signifies to buy them: as I've said before, if you order a door to a carpenter, this door would be unique and, probably, the solid wood employed to make it would come from more honorable and ecological resources than an professional one.
You can even choose lasting products as the qualified woods or the recycled spectacles. This way, you are not only contributing to make the world more ecological, but the materials you will have at home is revealing to a story: before it was a tree, but in its place another tree has been planted to keep the forest the same. This light was before a cup container that, if recycle, it was likely going to get rid of as silicon for highway pavement. This little details are the ones that produce your house beautification unique.
It's evident that the majority of us don't have money to shed. Likewise, I'm sure sometime you have done a compulsive acquisition and then feel different and, a while later, you regretted it. It happens to all or any of us. That is why I tell you that it is far better to buy with conscience not to repent later our impulsive selections when you feel down.
The tip I could give you is that, when you are going to buy, think how much what exactly are you going to utilize this object, if it is heading to be practical inside your home and, although there is no need the big bucks, not to focus on the price but in the grade of what you are buying. If it's something you really need, it is better to buy something with quality even it means doing and investment or not buying other activities. Once more, what matters is that you are happy. Remember also that you get what you purchase.
Moreover, do not forget the energy of your money. When you buy something, you are aiding an economic model or another. Big brands or supporting local businesses and business owners.
